Sugarbeads offers a variety of classes for all skill levels, and we invite guest artists to conduct specialty classes on an ongoing basis. Class Descriptions

Introduction to Beading
Learn the basics of beading the right way, the first time! This class is designed to acquaint you with the primary materials, tools and techniques for making beaded jewelry. You'll leave the class with the ability to design and finish your own necklaces and bracelets. Instructors are Pam and Martha, owners of Sugarbeads.

Level: Beginner
Class Length: 1 hour; see schedule for times and dates
Fee: $35 including instruction materials. 


Basic Earrings and Wire Wrapping
Learn all about the basic materials and tools used for wire work. You'll learn how to make earrings,  how to make simple headpins from wire, and how to wrap briolette beads to create pendants.  You can never have enough earrings, and they are great gifts! Instructors are Pam and Martha, owners of Sugarbeads.

Level: Beginner
Class Length: 1 hour; see schedule for times and dates
Fee: $35, including instruction materials.


Introduction to Knotting
Ever wonder how those little knots between pearls are made? Here's the class where you'll learn how to knot pearls and beads using silk or cord, and learn how to attach clasps to silk-strung pieces. You'll leave class with a really lovely bracelet, incorporating knotted elements. Put that professional touch on your designs! Instructor is Pam, co-owner of Sugarbeads.

Level: Intermediate
Class Length: 1.5 hours; see schedule for times and dates
Fee: $50, project materials extra.


NEW! Multi-strand Necklace
See the beautiful sample in the store…you’ll make an elegant multi-strand necklace incorporating Swarovski crystals, pearls, and 24K-plated or sterling-plated Beadalon wire. This is a beautiful technique that can take you in many directions! Instructor: Martha, co-owner of Sugarbeads.

Level: Intermediate
Class Length: 1.5 Hours
Fee: $50, materials extra.

Intermediate Wire Techniques 
Learn specialty wire techniques used in making stunning, intricately wire wrapped earrings. Learn to use a jig to make custom findings, use fine-gauge wire to create delicate wraps and swirls. Stay afterwards and create your own beautiful earrrings. Your instructor will be guest wire artist, Andrea Woerner.
Prerequisite: Basic Wire Techniques or knowledge of basic wire work

Level: Intermediate
Class Length: 2 hours; see registration book for times and dates
Fee: $60.  Materials for your own project are extra. Fee is payable in advance, non-refundable unless class is cancelled by Sugarbeads.
